Slicer - Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 20, 2026
The short version: Slicer does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Your photos never leave your device.
Your photos stay on your device
Slicer cuts photos entirely on your iPhone or iPad. The app has no server and makes no network requests, so a photo you open, the parts it is cut into, and everything it keeps in the gallery are never uploaded or sent anywhere. They leave your device only when you save them to Photos or share them yourself.
Photo library access
Slicer never reads your photo library. Photos are chosen through the system photo picker, which hands the app only the picture you selected. When you save parts to Photos, iOS asks for add-only access: this lets the app write new images to your library and nothing more. Slicer cannot see, list, or modify the photos already there.
Data stored by the app
For every photo you cut, Slicer keeps the parts, a thumbnail, the date and a copy of the original photo - the original so that you can open the cut again later and cut the same photo a different way. Those, and your cutting preferences, are stored in the app's private container on your device. Cuts made through the Shortcuts action are returned to Shortcuts and are not stored by Slicer.
No accounts, no analytics, no tracking
Slicer requires no account or sign-in. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.
Purchases
Slicer contains no purchases of any kind. If a future version ever offers optional donations, they will be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system, and the developer will never receive your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data
Delete any photo from the gallery at any time (long-press the card, then Delete): the parts, the thumbnail and the stored original go with it. A deleted photo is held aside for a moment so the delete can be undone, and is erased for good the next time Slicer starts. Deleting the app removes everything it stored at once. Parts you saved to Photos or shared to other apps are outside Slicer and are yours to manage there.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
