Questions

Where is my data stored?
Locally on your Mac, in the app's private container. Nothing is uploaded or synced anywhere.
Why did my timer stop by itself?
By default, Chas stops the timer when the screen locks or the Mac goes to sleep, and asks whether the time away should count as work when you are back. You can change this in Settings, Idle and Lock.
How do I export my hours?
Open Reports (Command-E) to export entries as Markdown, CSV or TSV, or copy a timesheet that pastes straight into Google Sheets. A full JSON backup is in the Data window (Command-Shift-D).
Which macOS versions are supported?
macOS 15 Sequoia or later.
