Chas - Privacy Policy

Data you create stays on your device

Time entries, projects, tasks, activities, tags, report templates, your work schedule, and settings are stored locally on your Mac, in the app's private container. The desktop widgets read the same local data and nothing else. Chas has no server, and this data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself.

Optional reminders (goals, overwork, breaks) are local notifications, scheduled and shown entirely on your Mac.

No accounts, no analytics, no tracking

Chas requires no account or sign-in. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The app itself makes no network requests.

Purchases

The current version of Chas contains no purchases of any kind. If a future version offers optional donations, they will be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system, and the developer will never receive your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Exports and backups

Reports (Markdown, CSV, TSV) and JSON backups you export are ordinary files saved where you choose; copied timesheets go to your clipboard. They are created only at your request and remain entirely under your control.

Deleting your data

You can permanently erase all data at any time with Delete All Data in the app's Data window, or by deleting the app from your Mac.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes - for example, if a future version adds optional iCloud sync - the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
