Chas - Privacy Policy

Data you create stays on your device

Time entries, projects, tasks, tags, report templates, and settings are stored locally on your Mac, in the app's private container. Chas has no server, and this data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself.

No accounts, no analytics, no tracking

Chas requires no account or sign-in. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The app itself makes no network requests.

Donations

Optional donations offered inside the app are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system. The developer never receives your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Exports and backups

Reports (Markdown, CSV) and JSON backups you export are ordinary files saved where you choose. They are created only at your request and remain entirely under your control.

Deleting your data

You can permanently erase all data at any time in Settings → Data → Delete All Data, or by deleting the app from your Mac.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes - for example, if a future version adds optional iCloud sync - the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
