Vidlik - Support

Count the days since and until the moments that matter. Every moment counts.

Free on the App Store.

Vidlik keeps four kinds of counters as colorful cards: streaks (quit smoking, sobriety, with resets, notes and stats), countdowns to a date, anniversaries, and simple neutral counts. Goals, awards, reminders, milestone notifications, an Overview of all your counters, share images and widgets are included. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and your counters sync between them through your own iCloud. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Which devices and versions are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, Mac with macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, and Apple Watch paired with an iPhone that has Vidlik. It is one purchase for all of them, and it is free.
Where is my data stored?
On your devices, and in your private iCloud database when the device is signed in to iCloud. That database belongs to your Apple Account; we have no server and cannot read it. Without iCloud, Vidlik keeps everything on the device. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
My counters don't show up on my other device. What should I check?
Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on for Vidlik (on iPhone and iPad: Settings → your name → iCloud; on a Mac: System Settings → your name → iCloud). Vidlik does not show a sync status; a device that was offline catches up when it is back online and the app is open. Apple Watch shows what its iPhone has already synced.
What happens if I sign out of iCloud?
The counters are removed from that device and come back from iCloud when you sign in again. Changes made while the device could not reach iCloud may be lost, so on a Mac, export a backup first (Settings → Data → Export).
What's the difference between the four counter types?
Streak counts up and can be reset when you slip, with history, stats and celebrations. Countdown counts down to a future date. Anniversary is a warm date you look back on. Simple is a neutral count with no gamification at all. Celebrations only ever appear on streaks and countdowns.
How do awards work?
Awards come for first steps, weeks, months and years, for goals, new records and a fresh start after a slip. Open Awards from the Overview (on iPhone, the trophy button at the top of the list; on iPad and Mac, the sidebar). An award you have not earned yet shows how close you are. Tap or click one to see it, and flip it to see the day you earned it.
How do I turn off notifications?
Each counter has a Milestone Notifications switch on its page (on a Mac, in the inspector). On a Mac you can also turn them off for every counter in Settings → General. Reminders are set per counter under Reminder. To silence Vidlik completely, turn its notifications off in the system settings of each device.
I reset a streak by accident. Can I undo it?
Yes. Open the counter, go to Resets, then touch and hold the reset (on a Mac, right-click it) and choose Delete Reset. The streak is joined back together as if the reset never happened. With VoiceOver, Delete Reset is in the Actions rotor.
How do I change the order of the cards?
Drag a card to a new place in the list or the sidebar. With VoiceOver, use Move Earlier and Move Later in the Actions rotor. A new counter always appears at the top.
How do I add a widget?
On iPhone and iPad, touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and find Vidlik. On a Mac, right-click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets, or add it to Notification Center. Vidlik Counter shows one counter, Vidlik Counters shows a list in the order you pick in its settings. Tapping or clicking a widget opens the counter in the app.
How do I back up my data?
With iCloud on, your counters are already kept in your iCloud. On a Mac you can also export everything to a single JSON file in Settings → Data → Export and import it back at any time; existing counters are never overwritten.
How do I delete all my data?
On a Mac: Settings → Data → Delete All Data. On iPhone or iPad: tap Select in the list, Select All, then Delete. With iCloud on, this removes the counters from all your devices, and it cannot be undone.
How accessible is Vidlik?
Vidlik follows dark appearance, Reduce Motion, Increase Contrast and Differentiate Without Color, and works with VoiceOver, Voice Control and, on iPhone and iPad, larger text sizes. It is available in English, Ukrainian, German, French, Spanish and Japanese. What is supported on each device, and the gaps we know about, are on the accessibility page.
